THIS COURSE IS FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE NEVER TAKEN ACLS AND/OR HAVE EXPIRED ACLS CARD. This Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider course is designed for healthcare providers such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals who have a duty to respond to cardiovascular emergencies. These healthcare providers may work in settings such as: Critical care units, intensive care units, emergency departments, surgical units and emergency response. ACLS course is built on the foundation of the lifesaving skills and high-quality CPR taught in the Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers course. This advanced course gives you the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage an adult advanced cardiovascular emergency. **IMPORTANT COURSE NOTES: ^Online Supplemental Course Required BEFORE attending in-person instruction ^Visit COURSE LINKS TAB for link to register for Online Supplemental Course ^2020 provider manual is required to take this course ^Purchase Provider Manual Hardcopy $45.50 | visit COURSE LINKS TAB for link ^Review complete refund policy under FAQ tab Prerequisites for this Course: • Current BLS card (Unexpired BLS card) • After registering for this ACLS course, visit COURSE LINK tab and select “Required Online Pre-Course Self-Assessment” and complete the course (this pre-course self-assessment is available for you to take free of charge and may be taken multiple times until you achieve a score of 70% or higher) Once you have completed the PALS pre-course self-assessment with a minimum score of 70% or higher, print the certificate and bring it with you to present to your instructor on the day of the course. Your American Heart Association card will be given to you the same day, after successfully completing the training and it is valid for 2 years.
