All courses are non-refundable unless the courses are canceled by As the World Learns. If any class is canceled or rescheduled from its original scheduled date and time by As the World Learns, a full refund of any fees paid will be issued to the student to their original method of payment. All online courses (Heartcode courses) are non-refundable, non-returnable and non-transferrable.

Attendance

Please ensure you have provided As the World Learns with the correct email address. After you register for you class / course, check your email. You will receive an email confirming your reservation.

 

As the World Learns strongly recommends that students arrive on time to their scheduled class. Training for CPR begins the moment the instructor begins the lesson. Students are expected to be punctual and are required to remain present for the entire class to qualify to receive their certification. Students arriving more than 10 (ten) minutes late for a class may be denied entry altogether and will have to re-schedule their class. Students arriving more than 5 (five) minutes late for a skills session will be denied entry into the session and will have to reschedule their skills session. Students do not have permission to have non-registered attendees accompany them while they are in their class (i.e., co-workers, children, friends, family, pets, etc,).

 

Rescheduling of Classes

If a student has registered and paid for a class and is unable to make it to their scheduled class and must cancel for any reason, they are required to contact our office at (601) 215-2235 or send an email to info@astheworldlearns.org with their request for cancellation 24 hours in advance. You will receive a credit toward a future class for any fees paid and As the World Learns will assist you with enrolling in the next available CPR training class or skills session. Students must enroll in a new class within 45 days of the date of canceling their initial class or the student will forfeit their complete paid registration fee and will need to purchase the class again.

 

No Shows / Failure to Attend Your Class​

Registration fees are non-refundable when students do not attend a class or skills session they registered for and fail to provide the required notice (No show). If a student is a no show, the student will forfeit their complete paid registration fee and will need to purchase the class again. To avoid forfeiting your registration fee, call our office at (601) 215-2235 to notify the instructor and reschedule your class 24 hours in advance.

Please Note

If a student registers for a blended learning class or re-certification class, the student must be certain they meet all of the requirements to take the class that they registered for. If a student is refused entry to a class because they do not meet the requirements of the class, they must reschedule to take the class after meeting the requirements. If a student does not reschedule to take the class within 45 days of the date of their initial class, they will forfeit their payment for that class.

If a student does not pass a course, As the World Learns will allow the student to study any necessary materials and reschedule for another class. This courtesy is allowed on a one-time basis only. If a student does not successfully pass a class on the second try, the student will have to purchase and take the class again.
