Meet Lisa Powell, BSN, RN
Lisa Powell is a Bachelors-prepared Registered Nurse licensed by the board of Mississippi and California with an extensive medical and educational background.

She was introduced to the field of education early in her career while working as an instructor for an adult school nursing program where she later assumed the role of the Director of Nursing. Lisa has been recognized for her outstanding performance, leadership, professionalism, and commitment to her students. One of Lisa’s most notable accolades was receiving the 2013 Educator of the Year Award presented to her by the Burbank Noon Kiwanis Club for her many contributions to the Adult School and community.
Lisa graduated from El Camino College in Torrance, CA where she obtained her Registered Nurse Associate in Science degree. Soon after, she embarked on her career as an Emergency Department Nurse where she participated as an active member of the ACLS protocol code blue team. She continued her education at Ohio University graduating with honors and obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Nursing.
Lisa has also worked as a Clinical Practice Educator at a hospital in Los Angeles for the Emergency Department, the Intensive Care Unit and the Pulmonary Care Unit. With her clinical expertise, she provided clinical nurses with the skills and knowledge they needed for their professional development so they could provide adequate and competent care for their patients.

With a passion for nursing, Lisa continues to utilize her skills and expertise as she travels as an Emergency Department nurse.
